Upon arrival in Yogyakarta in the morning, meet and greet with our guide for transfer to your hotel in Borobudur area. After 2 hours drive, we will visit Borobudur temple. This massive temple- the largest Buddhist temple in the world- and discover the incredible history behind its construction. Comprised of thousands of volcanic and river stone blocks, the temple was assembled entirely by human labour and took more than 75 years to complete. These days, the UNESCO Heritage site is still visible in its full glory with magnificent carvings and an unusual, yet surprisingly beautiful bulk structure. You will admire the thousands of intricate carvings found along the walls of Borobudur and learn about the incredible history behind its construction. This UNESCO heritage site is sure to surprise even the most seasoned travelers. A mystical experience that will remain in your heart. Then to Pawon Temple, located right on an axis between Borobodur and Mendut. Due to its simplicity and the contrast with the style used in East Java, it has been called a “jewel” of the architecture of Java times. After lunch, we will drive to enjoy an in-depth exploration of Candirejo, a typical rural village. You will travel from Dokar, with a local cart, crossing small streets lined with traditional houses. You will pass by scenes of everyday life, such as making cassava crackers or drying chilies. You can stop often to take pictures or chat with the locals, to learn more about their typical activities and their rich traditions. Overnight in Borobudur area.
Wake up early in the morning to reach Borobudur before sunrise from Puthuk Setumbu, leaving the hotel around 04:30. This is the most mystical time to see the temple where you can see Borobudur sunrise from Puthuk Setumbu. Back to hotel for breakfast. Drive about 2 hour to Yogyakarta after breakfast to discover Javanese culture with start here: we will visit the Sultan’s palace, the Taman Sari Water Castle, the Royal Carriage Museum passing by the Gajah Mada University. We will then visit the traditional Batik industry Prawirotaman and last, we will visit the Hindu temple of Prambanan before check in at your hotel in Yogyakarta for overnight.
After breakfast, we will take a train eastwards to Mojokerto town. Along the way, you could enjoy the volcanic view of Java. Upon arrival, you will be taken to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park to admire the Grand Madakaripura Waterfall, which is the highest waterfall in Java and the second highest in Indonesia. The water here never stops pouring down, which is said to bring blessings to those people passing by. Afterwards, we will continue to head to Bromo while enjoying the stunning view along the way. Overnight in Bromo area.
The alarm goes off at 3.30 in the morning and, promptly, we will go to the discovery of Mount Bromo to witness the sunrise from the edge of the crater. We will make use of the help of a pony on which we will cross the sea of sand and climb 245 steps. After enjoying the amazing sight around Mt Bromo we will return to hotel for breakfast and later drive to Surabaya International Airport for your flight to Makassar. Upon arrival in the afternoon at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, meeting services for overnight at Makassar is the capital city of South Sulawesi.
Depart after breakfast to visit Fort Rotterdam the old Dutch Fortress and Paotere Anchorage the Makassarese and Bugisnese boat harbor. Then after lunch we will have a short explore by taking a boat trip from River Pute to Rammang-Rammang, visiting some beautiful caves around the limestone hills area with its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. We will also have a short time to explore the black karst stone forest trying to catch good photos of the karst stones with various unique formations. After enough time, drive through to the center of Makassar for overnight.
After breakfast we will take you out on the picturesque drive to Toraja with approx 8-9 hours driving along the Buginese villages with their typical houses. We will stop for a photo-taking during the trip. Lunch will be served in a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon stop on the Puncak Lakawan to enjoy the spectacular view. Arrive in Rantepao in late afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.
Breakfast ah hotel. Pick up at hotel, a full day exploring Tana Toraja. First you will visit Lemo to see rows of Tau Tau statues and the hanging graves. Later continue to discover the secrets of baby trees in Nonongan. Onwards to Londa with its ancient tombs in which the deceased was not buried, but placed among the rocks. Lunch break in a local restaurant in Rantepao. Onwards to Kete Kesu with a stop in Karuaya to enjoy the beautiful and typical Toraja panorama, from here we will continue with a short walk to Kete Kesu, one of the oldest Toraja villages. Here you still find two rows of the original village houses, the traditional ancestral houses of the Toraja people, Tongkonan, as well as traditional rice barns with colorful woodcarvings. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at Hotel, we will bring you to visit Pallawa & Sa’dan To’baranna, local Torajan villages known as the weaving center of Rantepao. Afterwards drive up and stop over in Tinimbayo where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the megalith stones spread over the extensive rice fields. Then to a burial cave of Lokomata. From Lokomata, transfer to local restaurant for having lunch with rice field view. After lunch continuing our trip to Batutumonga where we will a have short trekking down around 2-3 hours to Lempo village, enjoy the beautiful panorama and experience a moment of the unique Torajan life style (interaction with local life, see coffee plantation, bamboo forest and rice terrace). Then we will visit Bori village to see the stone menhir before back to the hotel for overnight
After breakfast, we will drive to Palopo Airport of Tana Toraja for flight by Wings Air at 11.10 to Makassar. Upon arrival at Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar at 12.00 then check in for your flight by Lion Air JT3741 at 16.40 to Bali (Lunch will served in the Airport). Upon arrival in Bali at 18.10, transfer to your hotel in Kuta for overnight.
Leave hotel after breakfast for day of sightseeing. we will stop Ubud Palace and monkey forest, continue drive to to Tegallalang rice paddies. We will drive for lunch at Kintamani volcano with Mount Batur breathtaking view. After lunch we will stop at coffee plantation and last Holy Spring temple of Tirta Empul Temple before we return to hotel for overnight.
