Best Diving Paradise in Manado,North Sulawesi Mana Best Diving Paradise in Manado,North Sulawesi
Manado,North Sulawesi is among the highlights of diving in Indonesia and has earned plaudits throughout the world. When you're scuba diving in Bunaken National Marine Park you'll witness some of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world, with outstanding fish variety and world-class walls. The clear, warm waters contain astonishingly high numbers of species, whether corals, sponges or fish.

The park is located just out of Manado Bay in the Sulawesi Sea, off the northern tip of Sulawesi, and features some 2 dozen diving sites spread across an area of 75,000 hectares and the 5 islands of Bunaken, Siladen, Manado Tua, Montehage and Nain.

Explore the deep waters of Bunaken from your choice of dive resort and you can see 7 times more genera of coral than Hawaii, 33 species of butterflyfish and over 70% of all fish species known to the Indo-western Pacific.
Oceanic currents sweep past Bunaken Island bringing a steady supply of nutrients. It's a sure certainty that where there is plenty of food in the sea, there will be an abundance of marine life, and you can be here to witness this rich harvest too. From the smallest commensal shrimp to black tip reef sharks and eagle rays, there is something for everyone in this very special dive destination.
Manado is very popular with fun divers and marine biologists both of whom can take great pleasure from the diversity of coral and fish found here. You will surely encounter marine life here that you have not come across elsewhere.
The most notable recent find within the park was in 1997, when the coelacanth was discovered living in the lava tubes of Manado Tua. This 'living fossil' fish brought international media attention to Bunaken Island. Unusual mammals that can be seen include dugongs, which feed on the sea grass beds in the south of the park, and sperm whales, which travel through the area on their way to calve in the Sangihe Archipelago.

This location is rarely visited by tourists and lesser explored by local tourist.

Actually, Virgin Beach has several names. Foreign tourists usually call it as Virgin Beach because the beach is far from the crowds and still natural. While other foreign tourists call this beach as White Sand Beach because only this beach around Karangasem city has white sand. Although the actual color of the beach sand is not whiter than Padang Padang Beach or Pandawa Beach. The white sand on this beach depends on the volcanic content of Mount Agung. Yes, Virgin Beach is only about 33 km from Mount Agung. If you drive, it will take around one and a half hours to get here.

To visit Virgin Beach you can ask local residents because the access to this beach is relatively far from the city center, even you have to find some road instructions to get to the beach. As a suggestion, if you want to ask local residents, they usually call this place as Perasi Beach. Since it is located in Perasi Village, Karangasem Sub-district, Karangasem Regency, Bali. It is the reason why Virgin beach has several names. You can call this beach as what you want.

Gili Meno ; Hidden Romantic Paradise Island in Lom Gili Meno ; Hidden Romantic Paradise Island in Lombok
.
Gili Meno is the smallest of the three Gili Islands and a good setting for your desert-island fantasy located only 1 hour by speed boat from Padang Bai harbor, Bali. Ringed by gorgeous beaches and teeming reefs, Meno is also the quietest and most traditional of the three, beloved more of honeymooners and mature travelers than the full-moon-party set.
Most accommodation is strung out along the east coast, near the most picturesque beach. Inland you’ll find scattered homesteads, coconut plantations and a salty lake. It’s got some powerful Australian backers and a high-profile pitchman, ex-Baywatch star David Hasselhoff (aka ‘The Hoff’). The effect of this huge resort on little Gili Meno is likely to be profound.
For divers and snorkelers, the island boasts the infamous ‘Gili Meno Wall‘ where during the day turtles freely swim by and giant gorgon fans hang among the colorful corals. At night divers can witness huge Moray Eels and the entertaining Spanish Dancers, baby cuttlefish and a whole array of crustaceans.

MUNTIGUNUNG TREKKING,BALI The villages of Muntig MUNTIGUNUNG TREKKING,BALI
The villages of Muntigunung are located on the intensely arid northern slopes of Bali’s mountains with dramatic views of Mount Agung, the island of Lombok and the towering silhouette of Rinjani. With an extreme 8 month dry season Muntigunung’s impoverished villagers struggle to grow enough crops to survive, and with the influx of tourism over the last few decades many have chosen to go begging with their children in Ubud and the large beach resort of Kuta.
In an effort to provide a more sustainable future for the villagers a Swiss backed NGO has constructed 11 buildings with expansive roofs to collect and store rainwater in specially designed tanks to provide a year-round water supply. These roofs also provide a place for the villagers to make handicrafts and process crops such as rosella tea and cashew nuts which are sold to the large hotels on the south coast. The younger members of the community have also been trained as guides to lead treks from the top of Lake Batur’s caldera down to the plains of the north coast.
The trek starts with an ascent for around an hour to a vantage point with spectacular views of the entire caldera. The trail then descends towards Bali’s north coast with time to stop off at the villages to see the buildings where the locals are now working.
Discover Myths and Legends at the Forbidden Island Discover Myths and Legends at the Forbidden Island of Satonda, West Nusa Tenggara.

Satonda is one of the islands in the Dompu Archipelago, just by the northern tip of Sumbawa Island. There is not much to say but the island is extremely exotic. To explain it simply, Satonda is a ring-shaped small island with a lake inside it.
But that is an oversimplification because Satonda has much more than just that simple description. Apart from its unique topography, Satonda is also shrouded in mystery and myths. Here is what you need to know about Satonda, an enigmatic island at the northern shore of Sumbawa.
Satonda is not the easiest place to visit, but it is not too had either. All public transportation to get you from Sumbawa to Satonda is already in place. Administratively, Satonda Island is within Pekat District, Dompu Regency. The island is just two kilometers away from the northern shore of Sumbawa.
The easiest way to go to Satonda is via Nangamiro Port. It is a small town port at the northern edge of Sumbawa. If you come from Sumbawa Besar, you will need eight hours’ drive to reach this town. If you come from Dompu, you only need five hours. From Nangamiro Port, you can then charter a boat or take a public boat to the island. This is the most economical way to reach Satonda.
The alternative is by taking a cruise tour from Bali or Lombok. This might cost a fortune but you will be able to enjoy your holiday fully, especially if you also visit wonderful islands nearby. Some tourists come to Satonda on liveaboard ships. Essentially, you charter a ship to explore the beautiful islands in Indonesia.
Satonda is a roundish island with a relatively huge lake nearby, creating an illusion that the island is a ring. The island is believed to be an ancient volcano that rises from the depth of the ocean.
The vegetation here is very healthy. The saltwater lake dominates the vista in the island. The salinity of this lake is way higher that the nearby sea.
There are several myths and legends on this island. Some locals believe that Satonda is a forbidden island and nobody should venture, let alone live there.
Kampung Naga, simple village guardian of tradition Kampung Naga, simple village guardian of traditions and ancestral culture
Located in Neglasari Village, West Java, Kampung Naga is easy to reach because of its location on the edge of a highway connecting the city of Garut with the City of Tasikmalaya. Naga Village is approximately 30 kilometers from downtown Tasikmalaya, and approximately 26 kilometers from downtown Garut. To reach the village itself, from the gate we have to descend 439 steps before passing a stone path between a clear river and charming rice fields.
This village is in a valley surrounded by hills and rice fields that are not only beautiful but also fertile, nestled between two forests; the first is often referred to as a sacred forest in which there is ancestral tomb of Kampung Naga community that can still be visited by the villagers, still allowing residents to take firewood. This forest borders the village to the south and west. The second forest in the east is forbidden for anyone to enter. In the south, this village is limited by an expanse of rice fields and fish ponds, while the east and north are bounded by Ci Wulan (Wulan River) which is sourced in Mount Cikuray Garut.
According to our guide, the original name of Kampung Naga, comes from “Nagawir” which means “the cliff”, bearing in mind that this village is located in a valley surrounded by cliffs. From the beginning “Kampung Na Gawir” (“village surrounded by cliffs”), is now called Kampung Naga. So the name of this village has nothing to do with snakes or dragons whatsoever.
There are 109 houses in this village, and this number will not increase due to limited land, while dwellings house only 100 houses, with 100 heads of families, numbering 296 people.
There are similarities in the form and function of houses in the village: all face either north or south, and each house has four rooms inhabited by just one family: a guest room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a barn for harvesting.
The villagers are renowned for honoring and carrying out the mandate or testament of their ancestors, including in the making of their dwellings of which none is permanent. They are strictly forbidden to use cement, so their houses are made of wood and bamboo
