Tanjung Puting is one of the natural wonders of the world. You may not believe this after you have been there only two days or three days, but after the fourth or fifth day something happens.

You are captivated completely by the purity of the air, the openness of the night sky with the most remarkable view of the Milky Way, the magnificence and dignity of the gentle orangutans, the thundering downpours that instantly cool the air, and the clarity of the brilliant crimson sunsets. Tanjung Puting is the largest and most diverse protected example of extensive coastal tropical heath and peat swamp forest which used to cover much of southern Borneo. The area was originally declared as a game reserve in 1935 and a National Park in 1982. While the Park has a checkered history of weak protection, nonetheless, it remains substantially wild and natural.

Highlights

Kumai river for 2 hours cruise to Tanjung Harapan. Afternoon tours to watch wild animals such as: crocodiles, orang utans, proboscis monkeys, and birds
Live aboard or overnight in Klotok (Longhouse boat) during program
Cruise to Pondok Tanggui for II state to observe feeding time at 07.00 by short trekking, then up to Camp Leaky for 2 hours cruise for watching the wild and semi wild of orang Utans
Visit Pesalat area the rehabilitation of reforestation, this area have been developed for re introducing the rain forest and reintroduction of the orang utans especially for the babies of orang utans

Itinerary

DAY 01. PANGKALAN BUN – TANJUNG HARAPAN (L,D)

Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun meeting services and proceed to Kumai river for 2 hours cruise to Tanjung Harapan. Afternoon tours is available to watch wild animals such as: crocodiles, orang utans, proboscis monkeys, and birds. Meals provided and overnight at Klotok (Longhouse boat).

DAY 02. TANJUNG HARAPAN – PONDOK TANGGUI – CAMP LEAKY (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Klotok then 1 hour cruise to Pondok Tanggui for II state to observe feeding time at 07.00 by short trekking, then up to Camp Leaky for 2 hours cruise for watching the wild and semi wild of orang Utans. Meals provided and overnight at Klotok.

DAY 03. TANJUNG HARAPAN – PESALAT (B,L,D)

Breakfast at Klotok then visiting Pesalat area the rehabilitation of reforestation, this area have been developed for re introducing the rain forest and reintroduction of the orang utans especially for the babies of orang utans. Meals and overnight at Klotok.

DAY 04. TANJUNG HARAPAN – PANGKALAN BUN (B)

Breakfast at Klotok then return to Pangkalan Bun for your return flight next destination.
