High on the mountains near Solo in Central Java, the temple of Candi Ceto is sited. Candi Ceto is situated further up the Candi Sukuh temple in the mountains. The temple is at an elevation of five hundred meters or 1630 ft above the sea level. One can get a splendid view of the city from the temple. Located high up on the mountains one will certainly enjoy the nip in the air.

Inscriptions found here is evidence to the fact that the Candi Ceto temple dates back deep into history. Some of the dates found inscribed here are AD 1468, 1472 and 1475.then continue to Candi Sukuh popularly known as the Sukuh temple is situated at Desa Berjo, Karangpandan and stands at a height of 910 meters on the slopes of Gunung Lawu.

The temple stretches from the East to the West and the main gate of the temple lies to the West. The construction of the Candi Sukuh is pre historic and reminds one of the Meghalitic eras of Punden Berundak (terrace graves). Candi Sukuh can be considered to be one of the interesting Hindu temples in all of Southeast Asia. then proceed to Solo city for having lunch continue to Museum Radya Pustaka.

It was built in 1890, located at JL. Slamet Riyadi. The statue of Ronggowarsito, a Kraton poet of the past stands in the front yard. It has a good collection of antiquities, gamelan, keris, puppets, scroll of wayang beber, some Javanese and Dutch books continue to Sangiran Museum and Early Man Site, Solo is a popular tourist spot near the city, which attracts tourists from all over the world. Sangiran Museum and Early Man Site is actually an archaeological excavation site located in the island of Java in Indonesia. The site covers a area of about 48 square kilometer and it is only 15 km away from north of Surakarta in the Bengawan Solo River valley.

Best Java Bali Overland

Upon arrival at Jakarta Soekarno – Hatta International Airport, will meet and greet with our guide. We start to have Jakarta city sightseeing, driving through the bustling city, pass Merdeka Square, National Monument, Presidential Palace and visit National Museum (close on Monday) that is reputedly to be the finest in the South East Asia. Then we will visit Oldy city of Jakarta before transfer to hotel for overnight .

Breakfast at hotel, our guide will pick up you on (10:00am) in the meeting point and start our overland journey to visit Bandung. Drive to Bandung, its about 2 hours drive, on the way we will passing  trough  the huge tea plantation in Puncak Area, which has beautiful sightseeing “a green view” as well then visiting Padasuka village (12:30-14:00) to enjoy the Angklung (traditional bamboo instrument) performance at Saung Angklung Ujo. (15:00pm 17:00) check in to your hotel.

Breakfast at Hotel, (09:00am) Depart from hotel then visiting Tangkuban Perahu (09:45-11:30) about 45minutes driving, a smoldering 2000 m wide, surrealistic volcano 1800 above sea level. (12:45-14:30) Continued to Ciater Hot Spring with passing through the huge wonderful tea plantation. Early breakfast at Hotel, then (06:00am)  transfer to Bandung Train Station for your next journey to Jogjakarta by Argowilis Executive (07:00-14:08). Arrival Jogjakarta then driving to Prambanan temple about 45 minutes from Jogjakarta Train Station, (15:00-16:30) visit Prambanan Hindu’s temple,  Prambanan built during the Canjaya dynasty in the 9 century. Check in to your hotel (17:15)

Breakfast at hotel, (09:00) depart from hotel and driving to Sultan Palace, (09:20-11:30)  visit to Sultan Palace, the Kraton built in 1755, a large part of Kraton is used as museum and holds an extensive collections and it becomes a living museum of antiquities and grandeur. The architect of this elaborate retreat built between 1758 and 1765 was a Portuguese from Batavia. Continued visit to Tamansari by Becak traditional vehicle, It was no doubt intended as a cool place for the Sultan and ladies of the heaven to relax in the days when it was surrounded by gardens and from the tower overlooking the pools the Sultan was able to witness what was going on down below. From the Palace, we will proceed to visit the factory of hand made batik factory (11:45-13:30). Here you can still see the clothes are being made manually. Jogjakarta is famous also of its silver ware which is still, until nowadays made manually. Continue visit to Tarumartani Cigar Factory (14:00-15:00), since 1918, Taru Martani always created the formulas for blending tobacco to create cigars with high color of tastes to satisfy the craves of cigars lovers. These days, the company produces fourteen types of cigars which are well known worldwide, namely: Cigarillos, Extra Cigarillos, Senioritas, Panatella, Slim Panatella, Half Corona, Corona, Super Corona / Grand Corona, Boheme, Royal, Perfecto, Rothschild, and Churchill. The fourteen types of cigars have become promising export commodity. The shipment of cigars has reached markets in Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Czechoslovakia, the United States, Asia, and soon Eastern and Central Europe, and the Southeast Asian countries. Taru Martani blends three formulas of cigar mixtures, namely: 1) natural cigars (pure tobacco), 2) flavor cigars (tobacco with accent sauce of Mint, Amareto, Vanila, Rum and Hazelnut), and 3) mild cigars (with mild tobacco). The main material of tobacco comes from Besuki area, Jember, East Java. It is called Java Besuki. The taste is dominant and the color is brownish black. It is used for inner liner wrap (omblad) and outer liner (dekblad) of the cigars. The filler is a combination of Java Besuki and tobacco from Havana – Cuba, Dominican Republic and Brazil. The uniqueness of Taru Martani cigars is that all the processes are hand rolled. Every single cigar is carefully and accurately wrapped by hand to become a quality of cigar. Breakfast Box, (06:00) After breakfast at hotel transfer to Tugu Train Station for your continue journey to Surabaya by Sancaka Pagi Executive Train( JOG: 07:17-SUB: 12:13). Arrival Surabaya city continue driving to Kalimas Traditional Harbor to see the phinisi ship (handmade ship) operating in traditional ways (1hrs sightseeing). Then out site visit continue to see the heritage buildings around Rajawali street (1hrs), those building were built and designed by the Dutch in colonialism period. The buildings include: Gedung Cerutu (Cigar Building), International, Post Office and Cathedral Church. After looking around the buildings, the journey continues to visit The House of Sampoerna Museum (1hrs). This is an exotic heritage building that is used as a museum that showcases the legacy of Chinese Indonesian in building his cigarette business in Indonesia. Transfer to Malang city, (2hrs) then (17:30) check in to your hotel 

Breakfast at hotel, (08:30) After breakfast drive to Tumpang village in half in hour when we change our ride to 4WD Jeep to reach Ranu Pane village.(09:30) The starting point to enjoy about 2hrs soft trekking or driving by Jeep to Cemoro Lawang village Bromo (11:00-13:00) You will enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Semeru and Mt Bromo from the summit of Mt Penanjakan. Then we will drive you through vast of sandy area (lautan pasir = ocean of sands)  across to go to summit of Mt Bromo. It is a concrete well mark steps to the edges of great crater. From here you can see the ocean beach and viewing the Hindu’s temple held by Tengger Tribe from Bromo. (16:00) Back to Malang and overnight

After breakfast (08:30) transfer to Banyuwangi about 6,5hrs, (15:00) check in to hotel for overnight

Early breakfast at hotel (05:00) starting point from your hotel at Banyuwangi area ride to 4WD Jeep and driving to Ijen Crater  (1h:30 ) we drive a short way to the start of the trail that leads up to the active beautiful crater of Kawah Ijen volcano (about 1 h 30 soft trekking climbing) with its famous blue acid lake (which is the most acid in the world!) and the hot, partly liquid sulphur deposits. (8:00-10:00) The fumaroles are so hot that sulphur comes out as green vapor.  (12:00) .

After plenty of observation time, we leave the Ijen Plateau and drive to Ketapang Harbour to take the one hour trip ferry boat to Bali (15:00)  Transfer to your  hotel in Pemuteran Beach .

Depart after breakfast to the Middle of Bali island with passing Old city of Singaraja and stop at Gitgit Waterfall then Ulun Danu Temple ,stop for lunch at Jatiluwih ; UNESCO Heritage site for rice paddies then Tanah Lot Temple before we drive to Nusa Dua for overnight. 

Leave hotel after breakfast for day of sightseeing. we will stop at Kesiman village for Barong and Keris dance performance then we will continue our visit traditional at Batuan village, Monkey forest and Ubud palace then Kintamani for lunch with superb breathtaking view of Mount Batur volcano .

After lunch we will stop at Coffee plantation and then stop Holy spring temple of Tirta empul before return to hotel

Free days on the beach

Leave from hotel in afternoon and then we drive to Padang – Padang Beach or Eat, Pray & Love Beach  is a famous surf point in Bali with the great waves and white sandy stretch 100 meters from the north to the south. This surf point is situated the white stone hill with nature scenery to the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunset at late afternoon that creates the romantic nuance and then  drive to Uluwatu to enjoy sunset of Bali from our holy Uluwatu temple located in southern part of Bali or about 45 minutes from famous Sanur Beach, this afternoon tour we’ll see a high cliff temple with sunset  and last Jimbaran BBQ seafood dinner (include) before back to hotel.

Java Overland : Yogyakarta – Bromo- Ijen- Bali

Arrive in Jogjakarta by train/plane at noon for Java overland. Meet and greet by our guide then drive to the Prambanan Hindu Temples, one of the region’s most impressive archeological sites. Check into the hotel.

Full day tour of this rich repository of cultural treasures. We begin with the Sultan’s Palace, the Kraton built in 1755, and the Water Palace where the ladies of the court could enjoy the baths. Visit batik and silver jewellery workshops. Then proceed to the Taru Martani cigar factory which produces 14 types of vintage cigars since 1918. Return to the hotel.
Optional : Dinner and cultural dance program on an outdoor stage.

Today’s tour takes you to Borobudur Buddhist temple, the largest of its kind in the world, built in 800 A.D. and on the UNESCO world Heritage list. The sculptures lining each step are a good summary of Javanese history. Proceed to the Mendut and Pawon temples. Return to the hotel.

Departure for the village of Tumpang in Mount Bromo National Park. Change to a 4X4 jeep for the ride to the village of Ranu Pane, then to Cemoro Lawang on the side of Mount Penan-jakan. Proceed through a sandy crater to Mount Bromo. The climb up is by well arranged steps. From the top enjoy an amazing view of the sea of sand, and the Tengger tribal temple. Return to the hotel in Malang.

Drive to Banyuwangi, and pass through the cities of Probolinggo and Paiton en route. Note the mangroves as you approach the coast for lunch on Pasir Putih Beach. Continue on toward the city of Situbondo and the Baluran National Park with its teak forest. Check into the hotel.

Early breakfast and partial ascension of Ijen volcano with 4X4 jeep. Then proceed to a 2 hour climb on a comfortable dirt road to the top. Observe the men who climb down to the crater to gather sulphur blocks. Proceed back to the jeep, and your car for the drive to Ketapang harbour, where you will board a ferry to the island of Bali. Meeting and drive to Lovina on the north coast. End of service.

Lombok Bayan Ancient Village and Waterfall Tour

Mount Rinjani is one of Lombok’s most memorable natural wonders, but you don’t have to hike the volcano to enjoy the surrounding scenery. This private full-day tour takes in the highlights of the Bayan Beleq Mosque,one of the oldest mosque in Lombok .This mosque was built by Syeh Gaus Abdul Razak, one of Islam missionary in Bayan in 16th century. The mosque has square shape with wall’s height around 125 cm. the wall is made from bamboo weaving which stands on stone foundation as high as an adult’s waist. The roof is shape like meru and in the top of it there is wood decoration which shape like a crown. The shape of the roof building describes the Hindu-Java influence which came before Islam. In front of the mosque, precisely in the north side of the mosque door, there is a gentong (an earthen pot uses to keep water supply). The gentong is sat and tied to a semboja tree. This gentong functions to keep the water for wudhu (an Islam procedure to clean the body before praying).To enter the mosque, you have to bow a bit. Inside the mosque, you will see floor from land, and an old big bedug (a large suspended drum used to signal the time for Islamic prayers to begin) which still well preserved. The four pillars of the mosque symbolize the unity of four villages which contributed in building the mosque then continue drive to Rinjani National Park to visit Sendang Gile waterfall. Lunch will be served at local restaurant before continue drive to Mataram city with stop at Pusuk Hill ; famous with it is great view and groups of monkey. Last before back to hotel we will visit Lingsar Temple; one of the oldest Hindus temple in Lombok island.

Minangkabau Tour

Upon arrival at Minangkabau International Airport Padang, pick up by our guide and then drive to Bukittinggi passing Anai Valley, on the way stop at Kiambang and Pandai Sikat village to see traditional hand carving and weaving, arrival at Bukittingi check in to Hotel.

After breakfast at hotel drive to Batusangkar to visit the Duplicate of the Palace of Minangkabau Kingdom at Pagaruyung, on the way stop at Baso to see traditional embroidery and Tabek Patah for fantastic view of rice terrace, after visiting Pagaruyung return to Bukittinggi via Lake Singkarak and check In to hotel.

After breakfast city tour by visiting Sianok Grand canyon with its Japanese tunnel, Fort de Kock, Museum,Big Tower O’clock “ Jam Gadang “ and market drive to Punacak Lawang, on the way stop at Koto Gadang village to see traditional silver work and arrival at Puncak Lawang trekking to Minjau via Lawang jungle on the way down to Lake Maninjau enjoying coffee break at traditional coffee shop in the jungle, during the tracking the opportunity to walk at the bank of rice field and village. Upon arrival at Maninjau enjoying the nature of the Lake, afternoon return to Bukittinggi.

After breakfast visit several village to see how the local people on their daily activities, such as planting the rice on rice field, and farmer working on their field which help by water buffalo, and even experience the local people during harvest time. Toraja Highland Tour

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar,meeting services. we will take you out on the picturesque drive to Toraja with approx 8 hours driving along the Bugisnese villages with their typical houses. We will stop for a photo-taking during the trip. Lunch (Exclude) will be served in a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon stop on the PuncakLakawan to enjoy the spectacular view. After breakfast, a full day exploring Toraja. First you will visit Lemo to see rows of Tau Tau statues and the hanging graves. Onwards to Londa to see ancient tombs in which the deceased was not buried, but placed among the rocks. At KeteKesu one of the oldest Torajan villages we can see Tongkonan (the traditional ancestral house, or rumah adat of the Torajan people), and also the old traditional rice barns with colorful woodcarving. After breakfast, another full day discovery trekking tour of Toraja, first you will be transferred to Kandora village where your trekking trip be began. Passing thru this Palipu village then onwards to Suaya via Gantarang village then to Tampangallo. Stop in Buntu Lobe to see the children performing music bamboo orchestra and traditional dance of Toraja. Afterwards visiting Kote village where you can see the baby grave in the tree. Discover Bugis Tribe and Toraja Land

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, transfer to Sengkang, a small village located in the center of the former Bugis kingdom on the Lake Tempe. On the way you will visit Bantimurung located 42 km east-north Makassar, in a steep limestone valley with tropical vegetation, and a 15 meter high waterfall.  Lunch en route. In the afternoon, if you are lucky you will catch the beautiful views of the sunset over the Lake Tempe. We will take you across the lake by motorized canoe and visit the fishermen families living on the floating villages. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Sengkang.

NOTE: The water elevation in Lake Tempe will be low during the dry season. Not recommended to crossing the lake.

After breakfast, visiting the traditional Silk Factory where you can see the traditional spinning and weaving of silk material by Bugisnesse women. After that, proceed to Tana Toraja via Palopo, passing through spectacular view along the road to Toraja. Lunch en route. In the afternoon arrive in Rantepao. In the afternoon, visiting Pallawa, Sa’dan, known as the weaving center of Rantepao, before heading back to the hotel for dinner at local restaurant and overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, transfer back to Makassar. Lunch will be served in a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Afterwards, transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch the flight for your next destination.
