Impression Journal

I am happy to introduce myself as the new General Manager of Indonesia Impression!

Having spent the past eight years working in Indonesia’s DMC industry, I’ve had the opportunity to discover this incredible country, its people, and the many experiences it has to offer. More importantly, I’ve learned how valuable strong relationships, local knowledge, and reliable service are when working with travel partners around the world.

I am now looking forward to bringing this experience to Indonesia Impression and building on the solid foundations established by the company over the past 15 years.

Together with our team in Bali, my focus will be on strengthening our existing partnerships, developing fresh products and exploring lesser-known corners of the archipelago, while continuously improving the quality of our services.

I also believe that the best collaborations start with good communication. I look forward to hearing your ideas, understanding your needs, and finding new ways to grow our businesses together.

For those attending WTM London this November, I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person!

Eliana Resort & Spa, Rote Island

Located on the shores of Rote Island in East Nusa Tenggara, Eliana Resort & Spa offers an oceanfront retreat in one of Indonesia’s less-explored destinations.

The resort combines contemporary comfort with natural materials, offering a selection of suites, cottages and villas surrounded by coastal scenery. Its location makes it an appealing choice for travellers seeking a quieter island escape, with opportunities to explore the coastline and experience Rote’s distinctive natural environment.

Guests can also enjoy oceanfront dining, spa and wellness facilities, and activities ranging from surfing, diving and snorkelling to cultural excursions.

For clients looking to combine a comfortable island stay with outdoor activities and a more remote setting, Eliana Resort & Spa is a property worth considering.

The Seed, Bali

Located in Candidasa on Bali’s tranquil east coast, The Seed is a private beachfront estate combining tropical surroundings, contemporary villa design and direct access to the beach.

With five villas set within the estate, it offers a private setting for families and groups travelling together, whether for a holiday or a special occasion. Guests can enjoy the estate’s facilities at their own pace, while the location provides a base for discovering East Bali, from its coastal landscapes and traditional villages to its temples and local culture.

Activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding can also be arranged, offering ways to enjoy the surrounding coastline.

Discover Lampung: Wildlife and Coastal Escapes

Our General Manager, Mattia Lorusso, recently travelled to Lampung on a product discovery trip in collaboration with Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa, exploring the region’s potential for tailor-made journeys.

At Way Kambas National Park, travelers can discover Sumatra’s wildlife through an elephant experience organized in collaboration with the Elephant Response Unit (ERU). The visit offers the opportunity to see these remarkable animals and learn more about the work carried out by the team in the field.

A separate visit to the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary introduces another aspect of Indonesia’s wildlife, with a focus on efforts to protect one of the country’s most endangered species.

These experiences can be combined with a stay at Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa, where ocean views, a private beach and a range of resort facilities provide a relaxing base for exploring the region.

For travelers interested in wildlife, nature and destinations beyond Indonesia’s established tourist routes, Lampung offers interesting possibilities for a tailor-made itinerary.

Eco Farming in Ubud

Add a hands-on farming experience to a stay in Ubud, introducing guests to sustainable agriculture and everyday life on a Balinese farm.

During this educational visit, adults and children can learn how food is grown, feed the farm animals and watch a cheese-making demonstration.

Guests can also choose one additional activity: traditional rice planting, a Balinese cooking class exploring local ingredients and techniques, or coconut oil making, offering an introduction to a traditional production process.

With practical activities for all ages, the experience is a good option for families and travelers interested in local traditions and rural life. Lunch at the farm restaurant is included, and the additional activity must be booked in advance.

Plastic-Free Future at Way Kambas

During our recent visit to Lampung, Indonesia Impression donated reusable tumblers and lunch boxes to the team at the Elephant Response Unit (ERU) at Way Kambas.

The initiative aims to reduce the team’s reliance on single-use plastics in their daily routines, encouraging more sustainable habits through practical, reusable alternatives.

We are pleased to support this initiative and recognize the work of the team on the ground.

World Tourism Day 2026

On 27 September, Indonesia Impression joined ASITA Care and fellow ASITA Bali members at Padang Galak Beach for a morning of beach cleaning, followed by a food donation to the Denpasar DLHK cleaning staff.

The initiative was an opportunity to contribute to the local community and show appreciation for the people who work every day to keep Bali’s public spaces clean.

Thank you to ASITA Bali for organizing the initiative and to everyone who took part!
