Itinerary

  • Arrive at Iskandar Airport in Pangkalanbun, meet the guide and transfer to Kumai to board a motorboat cruising along the Sekonyer River.
  • Visit Tanjung Harapan village and the Pesalat reforestation project to see local life and forest conservation efforts.
  • Cruise along the river while observing wildlife such as birds, monkeys, gibbons, and other native Borneo species.
  • Breakfast on the boat while cruising along the Sekonyer River
  • Visit Pondok Tanggui, an orangutan rehabilitation center
  • Continue to Camp Leakey, the main research and conservation site for orangutans
  • Short trekking in the tropical rainforest to observe wildlife and exotic flora
  • Return to the klotok boat for dinner and overnight stay
  • Breakfast on the boat while cruising along the Sekonyer River to Pangkalanbun
  • Transfer to the airport for flight from Pangkalanbun to Palangkaraya

  • Arrive in Balikpapan, transfer by car to Loa Janan Harbor
  • Board a houseboat and cruise along the Mahakam River

  • Motor canoe crossing Jempang Lake to Mancong
