Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your guide. From there, we will head to a local restaurant for lunch. Following our meal, we will make our way to Lake Weekuri, a breathtaking crystal-clear saltwater lake that offers stunning views of the ocean and is perfect for taking memorable photos. Don’t forget to explore the rocks and reef area, which also offers views of the ocean. Adjacent to the lake, we will visit Mandorak Beach, which is guarded by two massive rock ridges that point towards the middle of the beach, providing clear water for swimming and opportunities for beautiful sunset photos. Finally, we will head to your accommodation for the night.
Today, we will have an early start and wake up at 3 am to catch the stunning sunrise at Watumalandong Beach. After enjoying the sunrise, we will return to the hotel for breakfast, but not before making a stop at Ratengaro Village. This village offers an opportunity to take some lovely pictures of the locals and the village’s natural beauty as it stands by the beach.
Once we arrive at the hotel, you can freshen up and take a bit of rest. We will provide a lunch box before we head out again. Our next stop will be at Waikelo Harbor, where you can take in the beautiful views of the sunset amidst the docking ships.
Today, we will be continuing our journey towards East Sumba, and you will need to wake up early at 4 am. On the way, we will make a stop to visit Lapopu Waterfall for a beautiful sunrise view. To get there, we will take a short hike of around 15 minutes and cross a bamboo bridge. Once we arrive, you can sit and admire the water as it flows down the hill, and if you like, you can bring your swimming clothes to take a dip in the water in front of the waterfall and cool down after a long day of adventure. Our next stop will be Praijing, a traditional village located uphill surrounded by lush greenery. This village offers a unique vantage point where you can get a beautiful overview of the entire village and see how it is conducted. Take some time to walk around the village, as you will find elders occupying most of the houses and kids always around to share their smiles. If you have some candies, you can share them with the children. Afterward, we will continue to your new hotel in East Sumba, where you can check-in and relax.
Later in the day, when the timing is perfect for sunset, we will head to Wairinding Hill. We will serve lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
We have an early start today, and we will begin the day at 1 am with a trip to Watuparunu Beach to witness the sunrise. The journey from the accommodation to the beach will take around 3 hours. Upon arrival, you can prepare your camera and wait for the sunrise. After enjoying the beautiful view, we will head back to the hotel for breakfast and to freshen up
Around 1 pm, we will go for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will continue to Prailiu, a village in East Sumba that boasts a gallery full of Ikat and souvenirs made by the locals.
As the timing is ideal for sunset, we will depart for Walakiri Beach, where you can capture the perfect sunset picture among the dancing mangrove trees.
Today marks the end of your Sumba Photography Tour. We will start the day early to catch the sunrise at Walakiri Beach with its beautiful dancing mangrove trees.
After that, we will head back to the hotel for breakfast and to prepare for departure. Depending on your flight schedule, the driver will escort you to the airport.
