Tanjung Puting National Park is the world’s largest conservation area for orangutans. There are 30,000 to 40,000 orangutans estimated to live here. In addition to orangutans, Tanjung Puting National Park is also home to other endangered species such as proboscis monkeys, red monkeys, bears, mouse deers, forest cats and 200 species of birds. A little advice for you, if you come to Tanjung Puting National Park, do not forget to apply mosquito repellent lotion.

Tanjung Keluang Beach is a scenic beach, is quite popular among the people of Pangkalan Bun for the white sand and turtles. This is because Tanjung Keluang is a peninsula that serves as a natural park to preserve the flora and fauna typical of Borneo. Tanjung Keluang Beach has a cozy atmosphere composed of cypress trees, green grass, and a clean environment. In addition there are turtle breeding, banana boat and camping ground.

Highlights

Drive to Kumai and board on the boat, cruise Sekonyer river to spot the monkey way up the river with overnight at Rimba lodge
By boat river to Pondok Tanggui ; a rehabilitation center to see feeding time at 09.00am then continue to camp leakey. See feeding time at 14.30pm
Sail down the river and java sea to Tanjung Keluang. At Tanjung Keluang we can see beach with white sand, and we can release turtle to the sea
At night we will have trekking with the ranger to see wild turtle

Itinerary

DAY 01. AIRPORT – KUMAI – RIMBA LODGE (L,D)

Upon arrival at pangkalan bun airport meeting service by our guide then drive to Kumai and board on the boat, cruise sekonyer river to spot the monkey way up the river. Overnight and dinner at Rimba lodge.

DAY 02. RIMBA – CAMP LEAKEY- RIMBA (B,L,D)

After breakfast boating up river to Pondok Tanggui ; a rehabilitation center to see feeding time at 09.00am then continue to camp leakey. See feeding time at 14.30pm lunch prepare at boat. Then slow down the river for overnight at Rimba Lodge. Dinner at the boat with firefly around the river.

DAY 03. RIMBA – TANJUNG KLUANG (B,L,D)

After breakfast sail down the river and java sea to Tanjung keluang. At tanjung kluang we can see beach with white sand, and we can release turtle to the sea. At night we can trekking with the ranger to see wild turtle. Overnight at Klotok/boat.

DAY 04. TANJUNG KELUANG – KUMAI – AIRPORT (B)

After breakfast on the boat, sail to kumai harbor then drive to airport. Tour end.
